We have seen fashion trends change over the years from tailored doublets, knee breeches, suits and bowler hats, the Fedora to now Relaxed Tailoring. Whilst a lot has changed in how we dress, what hasn’t changed is our desire for clothing that actually fits. It’s not just about luxury, it's about comfort too.
The clothing market is valued at $55bn in 2024 and there are many apps that are trying to make personalisation accessible. Fittora is definitely a market leader in this. But let’s start with the elephant in the room.
The short answer is yes! Of course it's not with the same ease, it's definitely better with a tailor measuring you up, but with some practice and some good equipment and a little bit of help with AI, we can do it.
As many of you know, standard sizing was built for manufacturing efficiency, not human bodies. It’s a one-size-fits-most approach that rarely accounts for posture, proportion, or preference. Which is why so many of us settle for ‘good enough’ when we could have something that actually fits.
But the question is how to get a perfect fit and what makes a perfect fit.
It’s personalised. It’s essential that you know what you want. Do you like it relaxed, slim or relaxed?
Measuring Isn’t Optional, It’s Everything. We have a size guide, which you can follow to understand how you can measure. And don’t rush it. A little patience now means you’ll avoid that “why is one sleeve longer?” moment later.
Start small and build up to it. Your first order is a test. A shirt is the safest way to get a feel for the brand’s cut, materials, and process. Once it fits just right, scaling up to trousers or a blazer is easy.
Tweak. It might not be perfect the first time so be ready to change and adapt. Talk to our stylist. It's free to talk to our stylist and they can help you understand how to measure yourself.
Guessing your size. Eyeballing it or going off your last off-the-rack purchase is risky. Take accurate measurements for the best results.
Skipping the guide. Our measurement guide exists for a reason follow it closely, step by step. Rushing the process. Measuring in a hurry almost always leads to mistakes. Give yourself the time and space to do it properly.
Not knowing your style. If you prefer relaxed tailoring, don’t order something slim-fit. Be clear on what you want.
Expecting perfection immediately. Even with custom clothing, your first piece is a learning experience. Use it to refine future orders.
Not asking for help. We’re here. Our stylists are real people who genuinely want to get your fit right. Don’t hesitate.
Because in the end, a perfect fit isn’t just about numbers it’s about confidence. It’s the feeling when your shirt sits just right on your shoulders, when your trousers move with you, not against you. It’s when you stop thinking about what you’re wearing and just feel like yourself but sharper. At Fittora, we’re not here to dress you in someone else’s idea of style. We’re here to help you find yours, down to the last centimetre. So take your time, measure well, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. The perfect fit starts with you and we’re just here to make sure it gets stitched into reality.
