Position: Garment Technician – Fittora (Luxury-Tech Fashion Startup)

At Fittora, we blend cutting-edge AI with the craftsmanship of bespoke tailoring. We're looking for a highly skilled Garment Technician to translate AI-generated clothing visuals into production-ready garment specifications. You'll play a critical role in converting concept to construct, ensuring every piece meets the highest standards of fit, quality, and style.
Responsibilities :
Interpret AI designs into detailed tech packs.
Interpret AI-generated fashion designs into detailed tech packs with accurate measurements and construction guidelines.
Develop specification sheets
Develop specification sheets covering sizing, fabric type, seam construction, trims, and finishing techniques.
Collaborate with other team members
Collaborate closely with pattern makers, production, and design teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability.
Establish quality control checkpoints
Establish quality control checkpoints across sampling and production stages.
Conduct inspections
Conduct inspections for measurements, workmanship, and finish during pre-production and post-production reviews.
Audit in-house fabrics and trims
Audit in-housed fabrics and trims; approve only materials meeting quality standards.
Set SOPs for garment construction
Set clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) for construction techniques across garments.
Skills :
Extensive Garment Technical Knowledge
Deep understanding of fit, finishing techniques, and fabric behavior.
Knowledge of Luxury Standards
Deep understanding of fit, finishing techniques, and fabric behavior.
Sample & Garment Assessment
Experience in conducting thorough sample reviews and garment construction assessments.
Attention to Detail & Precision
Keen eye for detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
Strong Communication
Clear and precise communication skills, both written and verbal.
AI Design Interpretation
Ability to translate AI-generated designs into technical specifications.
Requirements :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in garment technology or production development within a fashion house or boutique.
Essential prior experience working with Western wear or made-to-measure garments.
Demonstrated proficiency in creating specification packs and conducting sample reviews.
Aptitude for identifying and resolving technical and production challenges.
Effective collaboration skills to work with design, pattern making, and production teams.
